I don't think talent can be taught but writing can. Having been managing editor for Cornerstones Literary Consultancy for over five years I worked with a range of writers, helping them to hone their craft. I loved teaching the technical aspects of writing – from Show Don't Tell, to Plot, Pacing, and Characterisation.
I continue to mentor and freelance as a structural editor and love working with authors – whether you're just beginning or already published.
I'm happy to chat through synopses and sample pages for initial feedback and discuss the type of editorial guidance that would benefit an author most.
